“Fabio is a world champion, he is one of the fastest riders on the grid and Honda is happy for this,” is how Alberto Puig, Team Manager of the Honda HRC Castrol team, opened his thoughts on the recent signing of the number #20, talking to MotoGP pitlane reporter Jack Appleyard.

Announced during the summer break, it remains a key talking point as MotoGP gets back in action – one of the biggest rider moves of 2027.

2027 sees so many exciting shuffles in the sport, from the sweeping regulation changes that see new 850cc bikes debut to the host of rider changes in a huge game of musical chairs. Honda, whilst Puig very much underlined their gratitude to Joan Mir and Luca Marini too, are looking ahead to the new era and seeing opportunity.

“Champions are normally hungry and factories like Honda are hungry, but in this paddock everybody is hungry,” continued Puig. “The target is only one, there's only 1 goal, and for Fabio and Honda the target is to get back on top.”

It’s official: Raul Fernandez is staying put! The 2025 Australian GP winner will be staying with the SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP Team, part of the Trackhouse Entertainment Group, for both 2027 and 2028 as the new era of MotoGP regulations begins.

Fernandez joined the Trackhouse MotoGP Team project at its beginning, ahead of the 2024 season, and has written significant milestones into the Trackhouse timeline, scoring Sprint race podiums in 2025 at Mandalika and Phillip Island, before taking his and the team’s first Grand Prix victory in Australia. Finishing the 2025 season strongly with a second place in the final Grand Prix at Valencia, Fernandez has already stood on three Grand Prix podiums so far in 2026 and taken three Sprint podiums, including two wins – at Mugello and at Assen, the latter of which as part of a historic weekend for the team as Trackhouse won both the Sprint and Grand Prix.

Signing with the American team for another two seasons ensures Fernandez and Trackhouse have the chance to write more history together into the new era of the MotoGP World Championship, with new bikes coming from next season. His teammate is not yet confirmed, with another ultra-competitive seat at the coveted Trackhouse team still to be announced – so stay tuned!

DUCATI LENOVO TEAM

The reigning World Champions will retain their very own reigning World Champion in Marc Marquez until at least 2028. The Spaniard will have a new teammate though in Pedro Acosta, who moves from KTM machinery. ‘The Shark’ will also be in Ducati red until at least 2028.

APRILIA RACING

The current Championship leaders confirmed Marco Bezzecchi on a multi-year deal ahead of the Sepang Test at the start of 2026 but his teammate was confirmed at the Dutch GP: Francesco Bagnaia. The double World Champion has a four-year deal with the Noale brand.

Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins have been officially announced as not part of the project from 2027 onwards. In their place, 2024 World Champion Jorge Martin and Japanese sensation – and newest MotoGP winner – Ai Ogura. Both have contracts until the end of 2028.

Following Pedro Acosta’s departure, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing have announced an all-new lineup for 2027 as Alex Marquez and Fabio Di Giannantonio prepare to make the switch to the Austrian manufacturer for the upcoming season.

HONDA HRC CASTROL

Plans are beginning to take shape at Honda HRC Castrol following the announcement that Fabio Quartararo will join the squad from 2027. His teammate remains unknown, with HRC yet to confirm whether Diogo Moreira or recent HRC signing David Alonso will partner the #20 in the factory team. There will be a shake-up in management too, as Alberto Puig leaves his role as team manager and becomes an advisor, being replaced by Mikihiko Kawase.

CASTROL HONDA LCR

One side of Lucio Cecchinello’s team has already been confirmed and was done so last year, with Johann Zarco penned in for 2027. The other side with Pro Honda LCR is yet to be confirmed. HRC recently announced a multi-year deal with David Alonso, with his team yet to be confirmed, whilst Diogo Moreira is already in the first year of his own multi-year HRC contract.

SUPERFILE TRACKHOUSE MOTOGP TEAM

It’s exciting times over at the SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP Team, with the American squad announcing that they will continue to work with Raul Fernandez until the end of 2028. His teammate remains unknown, with Ai Ogura announcing his departure following a new deal with Yamaha.

Valentino Rossi’s outfit has had an incredible season so far, fighting for top-placed Ducati honours in the Teams' World Championship standings, although no rider line-up has been confirmed. It’s worth noting that Fabio Di Giannantonio is on the move to KTM for 2027, marking a space in the squad for next season.

Nothing has been officially announced regarding Gunther Steiner’s team for 2027, other than the fact that Tech3 will race with KTM machinery from 2027 and beyond following a multi-year agreement.

Finally, no big news for Paolo Campinoti’s team with regard to 2027 just yet. Rookie Toprak Razgatlioglu heads into his second season with the team and took part in the tyre test on Monday after the Czech GP with the new 850cc prototype; besides that, no indication of who will be there in 2027 and beyond.

One of the biggest rumoured moves of the season is now official: Fabio Quartararo is moving to Honda. The 2021 World Champion has signed up to race for the Honda HRC team as the new 850cc era of MotoGP begins next year, confirmed with the factory for 2027 and 2028.

The 27-year-old joined the premier class in 2019 and immediately made his presence felt. After a record-breaking run in the then FIM CEV Moto3 International Championship and four competitive seasons in the Moto3 and Moto2 World Championships, his rookie MotoGP season saw him take pole position in just his fourth race, with a total of six poles and seven podiums in 2019.

\n

In 2021 he won the MotoGP World Championship, following it up by battling to second the following year. The French rider has taken a total of 11 wins, 32 podiums and 21 poles to date in the premier class – and soon a new chapter begins with Honda.

\n

He’s confirmed in the HRC Honda squad and the announcement comes just after Honda also announced the signing of David Alonso, who moves up from Moto2. For the Colombian, it’s not yet confirmed which team he’ll race with – so stay tuned as we wait for more pieces of the 2027 puzzle to fall into place.

Alonso has made waves in the paddock since he finished third as a Moto3 rookie in 2023 before dominating the class the following year. Currently in his second season in the Moto2 World Championship, Alonso took his maiden intermediate class win at the 2025 Hungarian Grand Prix and currently sits fourth overall in the 2026 title hunt.

With a total of 20 wins, 30 podiums and nine pole positions across Moto3 and Moto2, Alonso has continued to surpass expectations. He will make his debut on the 2027 Honda machine at the post-race Valencia Test.

Fabio Di Giannantonio has been confirmed to partner Alex Marquez at a new-look Red Bull KTM Factory Racing line-up from 2027, with both signing multi-year deals with the Austrian factory.
Across his five seasons in the premier class to-date,

Di Giannantonio has progressed up the ranks and currently sits in the top three of the 2026 championship standings, having taken his second MotoGP win in Barcelona this season - adding to a popular victory in Qatar in 2023.
 
The Roman has three rostrum appearances, including that victory, from the ten rounds of 2026 so far - as well as four Sprint podiums - and completes the all-new orange line-up from 2027.

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing has confirmed that multiple MotoGP winner Alex Marquez will join the team in a multi-year agreement starting from 2027. The 2025 MotoGP championship runner-up brings his talent and knowledge into the third phase of the Red Bull KTM MotoGP story and for the new technical era.

The Spaniard won titles in Moto3 and Moto2 on his way to MotoGP, and celebrated his first GP podium appearance and win with a KTM RC4 in Moto3 back in 2013. Moving to MotoGP for 2020, Alex Marquez took rookie podiums and has since become a multiple MotoGP winner, taking to the top step in Jerez, Catalunya and Malaysia last season on his way to runner up in the Championship. He won again in Jerez in 2026.

The #73 is renowned for his speed and maturity as well as his achievements: attributes that will assist Red Bull KTM in the development of the RC16 for the 850cc formula from 2027.

After announcing Daniel Holgado earlier in the day, BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP have now confirmed their 2027 line-up as Joan Mir gets ready to make the switch from Honda HRC Castrol at the end of the current season.

Having spent the last four campaigns racing for the Japanese giants, a stretch that has seen the #36 collect two podiums, the 2020 MotoGP World Champion’s next chapter will be with Gresini Racing and Ducati – with the team also confirming a new multi-year deal to continue racing the Bologna brand's machines into MotoGP’s new era.

What's more, BK8 Gresini Racing has also confirmed that Mir will be racing a factory-spec Desmosedici in 2027, the same bike that Marc Marquez and Pedro Acosta will be competing on with the Ducati Lenovo Team.

Mir’s 15 MotoGP podiums to date, backed up with his MotoGP title glory in 2020 and a top three championship finish in 2021, means the 28-year-old and Holgado will form an exciting line-up at BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP that boasts a strong blend of youth and experience.

Another rider confirmation lands, and this time it’s our first rookie announced for 2027 as BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP confirms that current CFMOTO Aspar Moto2 star Daniel Holgado will make the jump up to MotoGP with them next season.

Holgado, as well as being a four-time Moto3 race winner, is a three-time Moto2 Grand Prix winner to date and was the 2025 Rookie of the Year in the class last season after notching up five podiums – two of those being victories – on his way to finishing an impressive P6 in the overall standings. The 21-year-old Spaniard has a win and a P3 to his name in 2026 too and will join BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP as one of the most exciting young talents on the grid.

The new Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. rider line-up for the 2027 season has landed. The Iwata factory has confirmed that current World Championship leader Jorge Martin, and Dutch GP winner Ai Ogura, have signed with the Yamaha Factory MotoGP Team for the 2027 and 2028 MotoGP seasons.

As MotoGP prepares to enter a new, exciting technical era in 2027, Yamaha continues to shape the foundations of its long-term project by combining proven championship-winning experience with one of the sport's brightest emerging talents.

Martin joins Yamaha as one of the benchmark riders of modern MotoGP. MotoGP World Champion in 2024 and a multiple Grand Prix winner, the Spaniard has established himself through his exceptional speed, determination, and ability to consistently compete at the highest level.

Alongside him, Ogura represents the future of both Yamaha and MotoGP. After rapidly establishing himself as one of the championship's most promising young riders, the Japanese talent joins the Factory Team at an exciting stage of his career, having just notched up his first MotoGP victory in Assen. That makes him an ideal fit for Yamaha's long-term ambitions.

Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. has announced that Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins will conclude their collaboration with the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team at the end of the 2026 MotoGP season.

Quartararo joined the Yamaha Factory Racing MotoGP project in 2019 and quickly established himself as one of the top talents in the sport, as well as a huge crowd favourite. His stint with Yamaha has seen him take 11 race victories, 32 podiums, and the crowning achievement of securing the 2021 MotoGP World Championship title.

It’s confirmed: Francesco Bagnaia has signed a four-year contract with Aprilia Racing, starting in 2027! The Italian rider will compete on the RS-GP alongside Marco Bezzecchi, completing the all-Italian MotoGP line-up of the Noale-based manufacturer.

The signing of Bagnaia represents another step for Aprilia Racing, as the arrival of a two-time MotoGP World Champion will further strengthen the team and adds even more star power ahead of the 2027 technical regulation changes.

Bagnaia made his Moto3 debut in 2013, won the Moto2 Championship in 2018 before moving up to the premier class and then taking two consecutive MotoGP titles in 2022 and 2023. He has also achieved a total of 41 victories, 86 podium finishes, and 35 pole positions – a record that places Bagnaia among the most successful Italian riders in the top class, behind only Giacomo Agostini and Valentino Rossi.

Rumour no more: it’s official. Pedro Acosta will move to the Ducati Lenovo Team for 2027 and 2028, pairing seven-time MotoGP champion Marc Marquez.

Acosta won both world titles in Moto3 and Moto2 in just three years since his debut in the World Championship. The #37 also impressed on his MotoGP debut, winning the Rookie of the Year title in 2024, finishing fourth in the overall standings in 2025, and achieving 13 podiums.

He also arrived and immediately duelled Marc Marquez in his very first MotoGP race – and they’ve repeated that ballet several times since. From 2027, they’ll be doing so in the same colours, in the same garage.

Ducati Corse have confirmed the departure of Francesco Bagnaia at the end of 2026, after eight seasons that have seen the combination rule the world - twice.

The partnership brought the riders' title back to Borgo Panigale after 15 years, in 2022 following Casey Stoner's title in 2007. Bagnaia has 31 victories - the most of any rider with Ducati - 62 podiums, and 28 pole positions with the factory.

Marc Marquez will remain a Ducati Lenovo Team rider for the next two seasons. Ducati Corse have announced the #93 for 2027 and 2028, extending the partnership that saw Marquez complete a stunning comeback in 2025 as he secured his seventh MotoGP crown and first in red.

The 2025 season – with 14 Tissot Sprint and 11 Grand Prix wins – saw Marquez secure the Championship by Japan and set the all-time points record for a single season, completing one of the greatest comebacks in sporting history.

In 2026, Marquez is looking to make a different comeback after a tougher start to the season marred by injury, but has now cut the deficit to the top after taking back-to-back wins at Balaton Park and Brno. His win in Hungary was also the Ducati Lenovo Team’s 100th victory in MotoGP – and his 100th win across all classes – adding another celebration to Ducati’s centenary year in 2026.

Marc Marquez: “I'm red. I'm truly happy with this new agreement with the Ducati Lenovo Team and to continue being part of this family. When I decided to join Ducati, I was convinced it was the most competitive project. They believed in me, and we built a relationship based on trust and hard work. With this renewal, they have once again reaffirmed this commitment, respecting my times and giving me the peace of mind I needed to make the right decision. In our first year together, we fought for the title and won it: a priceless result that confirms that the path we had chosen was the right one. I continue to compete because I love this sport and I want to achieve even more ambitious goals. I'm convinced this is the right place to do it. As long as I'm here, I'll give my all to paint the future red.”

We might only be in the early stages of the 2026 MotoGP season, but that doesn’t stop next year’s silly season from beginning. During Sunday’s post-GP Press Conference in Jerez, Grand Prix winner Alex Marquez (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) and podium finisher Fabio Di Giannantonio (Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team) were put into the spotlight once more as they were asked about a potential switch to KTM next season.

\n

As always, Di Giannantonio remains open and honest about his current situation and what the future may hold. The Italian made it clear that his future is yet to be decided and that he currently remains in a similar situation to 2023, as he lays out his priorities for the remainder of the season and next year.

\n

Di Giannantonio said: \"I always want to be honest about these things because I don’t want to be playing games or anything. I also said on Friday when some of you guys asked me something similar. I’m grateful for the moment that I’m currently living in. We are doing a really good job on track, and for the future, we have a lot of teams that want me on their side. This is amazing as a human and as a rider, which is super, as it means that you are doing a good job. Apart from that, everything is still open, honestly. I know with my staff, our priorities, and we say that directly to people who are interested.

\n

\"We know our priorities. I am fully open, fully transparent. Everything is super open because I don’t have anything at the moment. I’m like 2023, honestly speaking, in this exact moment. As I said, I am pleased about the interest, but at the moment, there is nothing that I can say. I can’t say if I’ll be with Alex or in these colours, or in another colour for next year.\"

\"It’s still too early\"

\n

There are very few seats publicly confirmed for 2027, with Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia Racing) putting pen to paper during pre-season testing. Both Diogo Moreira and Johann Zarco have Honda deals in place for 2027, whilst it was announced in Jerez that Ai Ogura will depart the Trackhouse MotoGP Team and Alex Rins will part ways with Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP after three seasons.

\n

Although nothing is confirmed, Di Giannantonio made his priorities clear, emphasising the importance of a good atmosphere inside the box while discussing the human factors surrounding MotoGP riders and teams. The #49 wants to focus on the job in hand, the 2026 campaign, as he sits P3 in the World Championship heading to the French GP.

Di Giannantonio added: \"Okay, we need this for the fans, for the people, for the future. We need news. But I think it’s not that great when we are in the fourth race of this year, and I am wearing these colours. Until the end of this season, I will wear these colours, and I will fly this flag for me. So while I’m with these colours, this is the best team ever, the best bike ever. It should be like this for all of us. I think we should focus a little more on what we’re doing on track, for the fans at home as well. I think every one of us is doing great things, great manoeuvres. These should be the things that we should be talking about now.

\"It’s still too early. We have plenty of time. Imagine how bad it is if I said I was going to another place, and I go to the garage, and I have to have a party with the team. It’s not that nice. So, I’m really talking about the human side. Let’s keep focus on racing at the moment, and for sure, everything will arrive soon. But let’s put the focus on racing, that we are doing a great sport.\"

\n

Alex Marquez agreed with Di Giannantonio on remaining quiet about what his future could hold. It follows what was an emotional Spanish GP for the #73, where the Spaniard took victory at his home GP for the second consecutive year. Marquez also made it clear that he remains happy at Gresini, while we wait to hear a concrete answer on what the four-time MotoGP winner's 2027 looks like.

Alex Marquez said: \"He didn’t say anything, so I will say nothing. It's time to wait and time to be patient. Bezzecchi is the luckiest guy because he doesn’t have these questions. We’ll see what the future is, but at the moment, I’m happy where I am.\"

MotoGP reporter Jack Appleyard caught up with Trackhouse MotoGP team boss Davide Brivio in pitlane on Friday afternoon, and one of the topics was their 2027 line-up. The rumour mill continues around the musical chairs expected for next season, with little confirmed, but one thing Brivio would put on record is who won’t be racing with the team: Ai Ogura.

\n

“Ai has told us he's not continuing with us next year; it's not for me to say where he's going. So yes, we potentially have one spot available for next year.”

\n

Asked about who they’re looking to contract to replace Ogura, Brivio was also pretty open – hinting that they’re looking around the MotoGP grid with experience.

\n

“I always like to work with rookies and to see them growing up,” says the Italian. “I feel that in the moment where Trackhouse is now, with this competitive bike, and we can try to aim for good results, it's a time to try and get an experienced rider ready to go for the podium and to maybe try and win races. It looks like the bike can allow this to happen. It's time to use this potential.”

The confirmation that Ogura will be leaving Trackhouse comes the day after Alex Rins confirmed he’d been told he would not have a place in the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team next season either. The rumour mill connects the two – but nothing is officially confirmed.

Alex Rins (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) has confirmed that 2026 will be his last year with the factory Yamaha squad in MotoGP, having recently had that confirmed to him by the team. The #42 was open in his reaction to the news and how he found out.

\n

“11 days ago, I called Massimo Meregalli, just a normal call. I have a really good relationship with him. When I called him, I asked him straight way, do you have any update? And he didn’t say anything. So I said, ‘Maio?’ He told me he shouldn’t say anything but he would tell me because he has a good relationship with me. He said ‘don’t say anything now, but we have signed the second rider.’”

\n

His reaction – actually explained before the story of how he found out – was open and measured, if tinged with some disappointment.

\n

“I’m not in a really good moment, because of this news. But you know, when I was in LCR I was feeling so good and Yamaha came, made me an offer, and I went for it because I thought we could do great things together. Since I got on the inline four I’ve been struggling a bit, that’s reality, but then when they started to explain the new project of the V4 I was feeling quite good because I had new opportunities.

\n

“As soon as I tried the bike, it has some limitations – as everyone can see – but yeah I felt a bit better than with the inline four. But they took a decision, so I need to respect it. I will be giving 100%, I’m the same Alex who won with the Suzuki or the Honda, and there are still 18 races in front of us. So we’re going to go with everything.”

\n

Rins underlined that he is a professional and pledged a number of times to keep giving that 100% to the project during their remaining time racing together. Asked about options for next year he says he truly doesn’t know as it stands but aims to remain in MotoGP – a question about a potential switch to WorldSBK got the response: “I feel that I need to stay here and I have a lot of potential still in this Championship.”

\n

Meanwhile, one thing the eagle-eyed fans will have spotted from his explanation of his call with Meregalli above is what Rins says he was told – Yamaha have signed the second rider, implying there is also a first already penned on the dotted line. Rumours abound about who they are – with Jorge Martin reported in the media as Rider 1 and Ai Ogura recently being reported as the possible second name the factory have signed. Will that prove true? Time will tell once official communications from teams are published, with only a handful of riders already confirmed for 2027 so far.

22 GPs, 814 points up for grabs and the most coveted prize in motorcycle racing, MotoGP’s 2026 will be as outstanding as ever but this year, it’s the off-track headlines that are writing themselves. We thought some were wild rumours, then they seem to have some truth. Those certainties we banked on not as firm as we first thought. So, let the music begin – let’s see who’s standing when it goes off. This is your 2027 silly season guide.

“We have a Plan B if Jorge leaves”: who joins Bezzecchi at Aprilia Racing?

With the wedding vows read and the honeymoon set, Marco Bezzecchi is the only rider confirmed to be in a factory team so far – but who joins him? Current teammate Jorge Martin looked to leave during 2025 and with him being sidelined at the Sepang test and lacking kilometres, could he be on his way to a different manufacturer? Aprilia Racing CEO Massimo Rivola made one thing clear: “Aprilia never sleeps. There are Plan B, Plan C, D…”. Could Plan B lie within the existing Aprilia family or will someone find themselves with the brand that clinched runner-up in the manufacturers’ standings?

Ducati Lenovo Team: will Acosta replace Pecco to join Marc Marquez?

\n

The first domino to fall, the one that arguably holds most of the cards: Marc Marquez (Ducati Lenovo Team). He made it clear during Ducati’s team launch in Madonna di Campiglio that his first choice will be to stay with Ducati and team manager Davide Tardozzi stated that the manufacturer’s number one priority is getting the #93 signed again and that they’re “close”. For the second bike, no rider has been mentioned by the team manager – neither a rumour of Pedro Acosta nor current occupant Francesco Bagnaia, the latter saying that he has “great opportunities” for 2027. In the words of Tardozzi himself, “we’ll see.” Acosta’s ambition is unquestionable and despite a successful Sepang test with KTM, he rated it at just 6/10.

Honda HRC Castrol: Quartararo on the move?

One manufacturer that has grabbed the headlines of silly season has been Honda. Motorsport.com reported that Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP’s Fabio Quartararo is reportedly off to join the other Japanese marque in the paddock, with the 2021 World Champion himself saying that “we’re talking with teams, Honda is one.” As for who could join El Diablo, it’s anyone’s guess – both current Honda HRC Castrol riders Joan Mir and Luca Marini will be determined to hold on to their rides, whilst team boss Alberto Puig clarified that Quartararo is a “great rider” but that Honda is “talking to a few options” in the paddock.

With or without Fabio? Yamaha’s 2027 dilemma

After motorsport.com initially reported Fabio Quartararo’s departure from the Iwata marque, they swiftly followed it up with a possible replacement: Jorge Martin. Whilst there’s been no comment about his future so far, instead electing to focus on getting back on board his RS-GP, the 2024 World Champion is very much on the market. All other Yamaha riders are also up for renewal, with Toprak Razgatlioglu (Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP) the least likely to move after just one-year. There have also been further comments regarding Yamaha’s 2027 plans from the brand’s top brass of Max Bartolini, Paolo Pavesio and Maio Meregalli.

KTM: as one Marquez inherits Acosta as teammate, does the other replace him?

After the success together in 2025 and then topping the timesheets at the Sepang Test in 2026, rumours are circulating that Alex Marquez (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) is on the move to the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing outfit despite solid options to remain where he is. This means he’d potentially be replacing Acosta should he join Ducati. If that is true, then it leaves just one seat. After Acosta, Maverick Viñales (Red Bull KTM Tech 3) was next fastest and has a great relationship with boss Aki Ajo, whilst current rider Brad Binder has been a veteran in the project since 2020 and has been in the Red Bull KTM fold since 2015 back in Moto3.

ROUDING OUT: other riders a 2027 interest

\n

Fermin Aldeguer (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP) will be certain to stay in the Ducati family but on factory material, given that Ducati Corse General Manager stated that he’s “the future” of the Italian brand. Attention would turn more to who his teammate could be in the event Alex Marquez leaves. The VR46 Ducatis are also huge seats and team owner Valentino Rossi has stated he wants his bikes to fight for wins again in 2027. And both of his current riders – Fabio Di Giannantonio and Franco Morbidelli – will need to justify their seats after a winless 2025.

Elsewhere, the Red Bull KTM Tech 3 outfit is an unknown but if there was to be a punt on a rookie, you’d not look too far beyond the KTM-contracted Daniel Holgado or teammate David Alonso in Moto2. Then, should Nicolo Bulega go on and dominate WorldSBK in 2026 as we’re all expecting, he’s another name who could find himself in a 2027 seat, given that he’s also testing Ducati’s new 850. At Trackhouse, they’ve given rookies chances before but after Raul Fernandez’s performances in 2026, should he leave to the factory squad, who could replace him? Two riders who need not worry with their contracts inked are Johann Zarco and rookie Diogo Moreira, both of whom have Honda deals into 2027.

As the opening Grand Prix of the 2026 season in Thailand quickly approaches from the horizon, expect 2027 rider confirmations to begin dropping over the next few weeks.
